Head Spa Training

SAKURA HEAD SPA'S ROLE

What 400+ professionals taught us about Head Spa training

Sakura Head Spa is a supplier of equipment and consulting services—not a training organization. For several years, we have equipped and supported over 400 professionals who have ventured into head spa: hairdressers, beauticians, freelancers, salon managers.

They all had one question in common before ordering their equipment: "Where can I get serious training?"

We've heard this question hundreds of times. And we've also heard the follow-up—the post-training feedback, the satisfactions, the regrets, the pitfalls narrowly avoided. It's based on this on-the-ground feedback that we have compiled a selection of rigorously evaluated trainers.

Whether you are looking for Japanese head spa training or hair spa training, your region, your status, your approach to care, and the type of clientele you target determine which trainer is right for you. We help you make this choice—without pitfalls, without unpleasant surprises.

What the field taught us

The pitfalls of poor Head Spa training

Not all training programmes are equal. Here are the warning signs identified through feedback from our clients.

⚠ Trainer with no real salon experience

A trainer who has never worked in a salon cannot prepare you for the realities of the job: managing treatment time, adapting to each client's profile, handling frequent questions. The protocol learned remains theoretical — hard to apply in real conditions from day one.

⚠ Very low price = impoverished content

A serious head spa training covers the full protocol, posture, scalp diagnosis, products and the commercial aspect. Below a certain price threshold, entire sections are cut. You leave with the basics — but not with what it takes to start confidently and charge the right price.

⚠ No post-training support

The real questions arise after the training, not during. Without an accessible community or follow-up, the first weeks of activity are often filled with paralysing doubts. Access to the trainer or a group of practitioners makes all the difference to confidence at launch.

⚠ Poorly defined protocol, regulations ignored

Head spa sits at the intersection of hairdressing, skincare and massage. Training that does not address the regulatory framework of your activity, the limits of the aesthetic act, or mandatory legal mentions exposes you to administrative difficulties — and undermines your professional legitimacy from the outset.

WE GUIDE YOU TOWARDS THE TRAINING ADAPTED TO YOUR PROJECT

Drawing on feedback from over 400 professionals we've supported, Sakura has built a selection of certified trainers, evaluated over time, and located all over the world.

Your location, your status, your preference for in-person training, your approach to head spa, the type of clientele you target—these are all parameters that determine which trainer will be the best fit for you. During your discovery call, we take the time to understand your project and guide you towards the training that will allow you to start with complete confidence, with a solid protocol and the necessary professional legitimacy.

Funding options

Finance your Head Spa training

Qualiopi certification opens access to the main professional funding schemes.

OPCO

Employed professional

If you work as an employee in a salon or institute, your OPCO (professional training fund) may cover all or part of the training cost. Contact your employer or your sector's OPCO to put together the application.

FAFCEA

Self-employed artisan

Artisans under the trades register can apply to FAFCEA to fund their training. The application is made directly with FAFCEA, before the training begins.

France Travail

Job seeker

If you are seeking employment or changing careers, France Travail may, in certain cases, contribute to your training costs. Each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis with your adviser, based on the consistency and strength of your project.

Note regarding CPF: the Head Spa specialisation is not listed in the RNCP or the France Compétences Specific Directory. No training exclusively dedicated to Head Spa is therefore eligible for CPF funding. Any organisation offering this funding is using a fraudulent arrangement — you risk having to repay the full amount and having your CPF account permanently blocked. Use OPCO, FAFCEA or France Travail depending on your status.

EXPRESS FAQ

You may be asking yourself these questions

How can Sakura help me choose my Head Spa training?

Having equipped and supported over 400 professionals, we have a clear vision of what differentiates a solid training from a disappointing one.

During your free discovery call, we take the time to understand your profile, your project, and your constraints—and we guide you towards the certified trainer who matches your situation.

Not a generic recommendation: a personalized orientation.

Who is the Head Spa training for?

This training is for hair, beauty, or wellness professionals who want to incorporate Japanese head spa into their services.

No specific technical prerequisites are required. It is suitable for both active professionals and those undergoing a career change.

Depending on your status and your approach to care, we will direct you to the most suitable trainer for your project.

How do you recognize a good Head Spa training?

Based on our field feedback, four criteria are crucial: the trainer must have real salon experience (not just in a training center), the program must cover the regulatory framework of the activity, post-training follow-up must be included, and the quality/price ratio must be consistent.

Very low-priced training courses generally sacrifice entire parts of the protocol.

Can head spa training be financed by the CPF?

No. The Head Spa specialization is not listed in the RNCP or the Répertoire Spécifique of France Compétences: no training exclusively dedicated to Head Spa is eligible for CPF funding.

Any organization offering this funding is using a fraudulent scheme, which exposes you to full reimbursement and permanent blocking of your CPF account.

Depending on your status, you should contact the OPCO (for employees), FAFCEA (for self-employed artisans), or France Travail (for job seekers).

What is the difference between in-person and distance learning?

In-person training offers full immersion over two days: technical gestures in a real-life situation, direct exchanges, and supervised practice.

Distance learning allows for complete flexibility in scheduling and location.

Both formats lead to a certified diploma and include 3 months of follow-up.

What is the difference between a head spa training and a hair spa training?

Head spa refers to the complete Japanese ritual integrating massage, steam, and in-depth hair treatments.

Hair spa is a more generic term covering hair treatments without necessarily including the in-depth massage dimension.

Japanese head spa training programs are generally more specialized and cover a more structured protocol.

Should I buy the equipment before or after training?

Both approaches are valid. Some professionals prefer to train first to better choose their equipment; others order their equipment in parallel to start as soon as their training is complete.

During your discovery call with our team, we will help you sequence the two steps according to your project and your opening schedule.
